Mother’s Day is a day full of emotion for many women, but also a hard day for those who haven’t yet become mothers. Social media fills up with congratulatory messages and family photos that remind them of what they don’t have yet. Mother’s Day is a reason to celebrate, but with empathy we can understand how women like our patients feel on this day.
That’s why at Fertia we wanted to write a slightly different Mother’s Day post, celebrating motherhood with everyone who gets to enjoy it, while also sending a message of encouragement to every mother at heart, even if her baby hasn’t arrived yet.
We would like to turn this day into a day of sisterhood and mutual support, filling social media with positive messages that any woman can relate to.
We can’t think of anyone better to do this than you: those who have already been through the experience or are going through it now, who have lived through days of light and shadow, and who have finally made your dream of becoming mothers come true, but can still understand everything a day like this stirs up.

Empathy and support, the #Infertilpandy family
This initiative was deeply inspired by the #Infertilpandy movement, which we’ve been following on social media for a while. Women and mothers who share their fears, their experiences, their journeys; who support each other, lend a hand, comfort and encourage one another. We are proud and moved to see this beautiful virtual friendship you have built.
In these sometimes strange days, when social media seems full of negativity, tension, arguments… this virtual gang is like a ray of light, showing us the positive side of social media too.
Inspired by them, we wanted to shift the tone of Mother’s Day a little and turn it into an inclusive day, where any woman can celebrate motherhood in some way and find support if she’s still on the journey.
